Gardens at Night 2013
This summer’s Gardens at Night (GAN) series will be bigger and better than ever before! FREE to MSV Members, and one of the Museum’s most popular traditions, this year’s series will include an October concert and admission to the galleries.
Casual, family-oriented events, GAN features live music, the opportunity to tour the beautifully illuminated gardens, free children’s activities, and the availability of food and wine for purchase. Due to the preservation work on the house, this year’s concerts will take place on the lawn by the MSV, and both the gardens and galleries will be open for nighttime tours. Each event will feature two food vendors and a vineyard selling wine by the glass/bottle.
Sponsored by Q102, this summer’s lineup is great! On June 14: Bruce Ewan and his band will play classic blues music. On July 12: the Soul Expressions Band (pictured top right) will play funk, rock, Motown, and rhythm-and-blues. On August 9: The Naked Mountain Boys will perform bluegrass classics and originals. On September 13: the Robbie Limon Band will play hits from the 1970s. On October 11: Shag will play a mix of pop-rock classics and originals.
Bring a date or the family (admission is free to kids 12 & under!) and bring your own chair. Gates open at 6 p.m.; the music starts at 7 p.m. GAN is FREE to Members; all others are $10. Additional costs apply for food and wine purchases; no outside food or beverages, please. If it rains, the fun moves inside to the MSV Reception Hall.
